​  Expert’s Edge, LLC, d.b.a. Expert’s Edge Athletics & Construction, an Iowa-based, family-owned business, was founded in 2009 by Carl Poe, an innovator in the athletic construction industry with nearly five decades of experience.
Poe, together with his father, Pearl Poe, began installing grandstands and bleacher products nationwide in the early ’70s. After building a press box 30’ off the ground in Findley, MN, Poe and his father knew there had to be an easier, safer, and more efficient way to deliver their services. In an effort to advance the field, they resolved to prefab press boxes in one location before transporting them to another. Poe Construction and Manufacturing, Inc. was later formed in 1981, serving as the foundation of Poe’s knowledge and skills.
         Joining Expert’s Edge is Project Manager and Lead Point Person, Nathan Poe.  Nathan possesses the useful skills of knowing how things work and how to fix them when they don’t. Paired with his vision and drive, Nathan is prepared to propel the business forward by meeting
clients’ evolving needs.​

A TRIBUTE...

Pearl Jr. Poe, as he supervises the grandstand and VIP boxes installation @ the Knoxville Speedway.  This picture was taken just weeks before his death. 

Athletic construction provided many facets that added pleasure to Pearl's life.  The challenge of design and engineering, along with overseeing the big picture, enabled Pearl to do what he loved.  Travel was an added bonus.  Poe Construction installed stadiums all over the country...North Carolina,Saskatchewan, Iowa, Pennsylvania, and Georgia to name a few.

Guiding young workers and serving as a mentor made him especially proud.  His insistence for quality control is a legacy and is still  important to us at Expert's Edge, LLC.
